pray without ceasing!

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“All we can do now is pray”

I’ve said it, I’ve heard others say it to me and to those around them, almost as a catchphrase used when things are hard and nobody knows what to do. Although the intent may not be to do so, Jesus has reminded me lately that this thought process severely underestimates the power of prayer. Friends! We have access to direct communication with the KING of kings, a king who always listens, and a king who loves us more than we will ever be able to comprehend. That is POWERFUL, and I pray that we will never forget it, pray without ceasing!

Dear Jesus,

Lord I come to you tonight extremely grateful for the privilege it is to simply talk to you. Lord, I pray that you would empower me to recognize and utilize the endless power found in prayer.

I pray that I would have confidence in prayer as my strongest tool, not my last resort.

Lord, I desire to have my prayers align with the will you have for my life, not the one I think I have for mine.

I love you so so much, thank you for the gift of constant communication that I get to live in with you.
