This past winter break I had the privilege of going to the Passion Conference and I was so incredibly encouraged by all the messages that I heard while I was there. Something that Ben Stuart said that really tugged at my heart was, “anxiety and gratitude cannot co- exist”. Wow, what a perspective, I think a lot of times the world will tell us to just sit in worry and “do whatever is best for YOU”. The problem is we don’t know what’s best for us, we can’t, but Jesus does. He wants to guide you and he most definitely doesn’t want you to worry. This is a prayer of gratitude! I hope this encourages you to change your mindset on stress and turn to the ONE who can give you indescribable peace.
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for reminding me that peace is found solely in you, and nothing of this world.
I pray that I will not get caught up in the things I think may bring me peace, but that I may cling to you, Prince of Peace.
Thank you for the abundant grace and love you pour out to me constantly, I know I do absolutely nothing to deserve it.
I pray that I will remember you and all that you have done for me in times of anxiety.
I am forever grateful for the way you love me and the blessings you are so purposefully placing in my life.
The enemy wants nothing more than to distract me from your goodness, but I know you defeated him a long time ago.
Thank you for the comfort I find in your victory, I pray that it would give me confidence to talk about you with those around me.
I pray that I would focus on you and your power, tuning out the distractions that the enemy throws at me.
Thank you for this time I had with you, I pray that whoever reads this would be encouraged to cling to you for peace.
In your mighty name I pray,
Amen
