a rainy day prayer

O Lord,

What a simple beauty

a gentleness displayed,

a detailed majesty,

a tender care.

I pray that this day would teach me true rest, that I would devote myself to forgetfulness of me and remembrance of you.

That each drop would spark a fervor for the intricacies of creation.

May my heart find it's deepest delight in your

gentleness displayed,

detailed majesty,

and tender care.
